Kirk-Rudy Solar Installation - Simple Facts

This 100 kW system is comprised of 432 Mage Solar 230 watt panels. The carport structure is 475 feet long and 19 feet wide. This system is expected to generate 131,000 kW hours on an annual basis, and the lifespan of the system will range 35–45 years (or more).
The programs and incentives that made this installation so attractive for Kirk-Rudy are:
1. The Federal 30% tax incentive;
2. The Georgia 35% state tax incentive;
3. The Federal Accelerated Depreciation Program;
4. Georgia Power’s Feed-In Tariff.
One final note of interest: all of the labor, materials (with exception for the inverters), design, and construction for this project were completed by people and companies located right here in Georgia!
As you know, there's an EV charging station installed underneath the solar canopy. Here's more information:

• The CS-40 is rated at: 240 Volts / 40 amps.• Manufactured in the USA.
• Charging Times (for a full charge):
o Chevrolet Volt ≈ 3.5 hours.
o Nissan Leaf ≈ 7.5 hours.
• Cost to “fuel”:
o $.04/mile (using national average electricity rate of $.12/kWh ).
o Compared to gas @ $.15/mile ($3.75/gal and 25 mpg).
